Kate school

Kate had her first day of Kindergarten.  It is all day up here.  I was extremely nervous for her as the past few months she has had terrible seperation anxiety.  She was most worried about getting kidnapped while at school.  We visited the school a few times, met her teacher, and most importantly she got a priesthood blessing from her dad and we prayed. A lot.  She finally concluded, "My dad went to that school and he never got kidnapped, so I think I'll be ok."

When the bus pulled up I saw her get a bit nervous.  She grabbed onto Kenna's hand and got on.  It was a sweet moment and I was grateful they had eachother.  I met the bus at the school to make sure she got into her classroom.  She was super excited and my worries for her were squelched.  When she came home she had all sorts of stories to tell and she had a great day.  She even made a new friend named Jesus.

I'm so proud of Kate (and Kenna) for doing hard things and jumping into the unknown of a new school and new friends.

  1. YEAH Kate. I'd give anything to have her and Jhett togehter but this is an awesome experience for you all to venture in unknown territory. I totally laughed about the kidnapping thing. Love her!
